This privacy policy explains how LitFund GmbH (“LitFund”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit litfundcapital.com, get in touch with us, or ask us to look at a claim.
We collect only what we need, we say why we need it, and we do not sell it. If you would rather ask a person, write to office@litfundcapital.com and we will answer.

1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers litfundcapital.com, the case sites anlegerschaden.com, kartellschaden.at and cpap-respirator.com, and any direct correspondence with LitFund about funding a claim. It does not cover third-party sites we link to, which run their own policies.
We update this policy whenever our practices change. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version.
2. Data we collect
Data reaches us in three ways: what you give us, what your browser sends automatically, and what we receive from the parties involved in a case.
Contact details – your name, company, email address and phone number, when you write to us or use the contact form.
Case information – the documents and facts you share so we can assess whether we are able to fund a claim.
Technical data – IP address, browser type, device and the pages you visited, recorded by our hosting and analytics.
We do not ask for special categories of data, and we ask you not to send them unless a case genuinely calls for it.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data to answer enquiries, to assess and fund claims, to meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and to keep this site secure and working.
We do not use your data to train third-party models, and we do not sell it to advertisers.
4. Legal bases for processing
Depending on the situation we rely on your consent, on the performance of a contract, on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the business, or on a legal obligation.
Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did while the consent was in place.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with parties who need it to do their work for us: legal counsel and experts working on a case, our hosting, analytics and email providers, and our auditors and advisors.
Each provider is bound by a contract that limits what they may do with the data. Where a provider sits outside the EEA, we put standard contractual clauses in place first.
6. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it stays relevant, and case files for as long as the statutory retention periods require. After that we delete or anonymise them.
7. Website analytics
We measure how litfundcapital.com, anlegerschaden.com, kartellschaden.at and cpap-respirator.com are used with PostHog, a service of PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. The data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany.
PostHog sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and builds no user profile. It records the pages you visit, the referring page, campaign parameters, time, browser, operating system, device type, load times and clicks, but not what you type into forms. To count visits per day, PostHog hashes your IP address, browser identifier and a daily changing random value. The IP address is then discarded.
We rely on our legitimate interest in improving our websites (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). PostHog acts as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR) and is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We delete the data after one year. More at posthog.com/privacy.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format.
Write to office@litfundcapital.com and we will respond within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
